Dr. Larry Hanson, DVM

Dr. Larry Hanson, DVM

Dr. Hanson attended the Western College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 1982. He practiced in Swift Current and Moose Jaw, SK before acquiring the Sherwood Animal Clinic in 1991. Dr. Hanson and his team have grown the practice into a notable clinic for both large and small animal patients. He has particular interests in small animal orthopedics, equine lameness and reproduction. Outside of work, Dr. Hanson and his family enjoy raising and racing Standardbred horses.

Dr. Tracy Pedersen, DVM

Dr. Tracy Pedersen, DVM

Dr. Pedersen attended the WCVM in Saskatoon and graduated in 1996. She practiced in Ogema, SK before joining the Sherwood Animal Clinic in 2003. Dr. Pedersen has always enjoyed the diversity of mixed animal practice. She is particularly interested in small animal medicine, equine lameness and acupuncture. Outside of working hours, Dr. Pedersen enjoys riding and competing on barrel horses with her daughter and husband.

Dr. Cara Warkentin, DVM

Dr. Cara Warkentin, DVM

Dr. Warkentin came to work at the Sherwood Animal Clinic after graduating from the WCVM in 2011. She excels in small animal practice and has special interests in small animal medicine and medical imaging. Dr. Warkentin was born and raised in Southern Manitoba, where she still frequently visits with her husband, Curt and two canine companions, Pippy and Rue. While not at work, Dr. Warkentin enjoys spending time with her Quarter Horse mare, Betty.

Jane Jardine, DVM

Jane Jardine, DVM

After graduating from the WCVM in 2011, Dr. Jardine completed an equine internship at the Wisconsin Equine Clinic & Hospital in Oconomowoc, WI, USA. She returned to Saskatchewan to join the Sherwood Animal Clinic team in 2012. Dr. Jardine has particular interests in equine reproduction and lameness, and small animal surgery. While not at work, Dr. Jardine enjoys showing Clydesdale horses with her family in Manitoba and, since moving to Regina, has taken up barrel racing.

Michelle Hallick, AHT

Rebecca Blair

Michelle completed her animal health technician course at SIAST in Saskatoon, graduating in 2011. She grew up on a grain/cattle farm an hour north of Yorkton and enjoys working with both large and small animals. In her spare time she likes being outdoors doing various activities including hunting, fishing and quadding. One of her favourite activities, of course, is hanging out with her adorable whippet pup, Winston.

Erin Clarke

Kendall McCormick, AHT

Erin is entering her third year of studies at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon. She will be working at Sherwood during the summer months in order to gain experience in a practice. Erin grew up on her family’s ranch by Weyburn where they raise Quarter Horses and commercial cattle. She is happy to be able to have her horse Revy with her during the summer months while working at the clinic.

Ana Besplug

Ana Besplug

Ana was born and raised in Regina and has maintained her local roots. She came to work at Sherwood Animal Clinic in 2009 where she has exceled with software management, public relations and social media. When she’s not at work, Ana shows horses in western pleasure and runs barrels. She also has a loveable bulldog named, Lilly.

Dino Claypool

Dino Claypool

Dino is the smiling face you meet at the front desk and the soothing voice you hear on the phone. Dino has been a receptionist for Sherwood Animal Clinic since 2010 and is wonderfully talented at making people feel at ease. She and her husband of 40 years share a beautiful acreage outside of Regina with their 4 horses, 3 dogs, 2 cats and 1 rather large goat. She spends her after work time running barrels and enjoying her 6 lovely grandchildren.

Amy Mandziak

Amy Mandziak

Amy joined the Sherwood Animal Clinic team in 2010. She especially enjoys assisting the vets and overseeing the volunteer program. Outside of work, Amy volunteers her time to dog rescues and enjoys outdoor activity. She has amazing parents, a half-sister and half-brother, and two beautiful nieces.
